Riveted Union Alembic

This beautiful riveted copper alembic still design is based on the old Moorish traditions and is still very commonly found throughout Spain and Northern Portugal, used widely for making “Aguardente” a very popular spirit here in Portugal. The Portuguese take the empty grape skins from making home made wine during wine season and form a mash that is then distilled to make this traditional beverage that surpasses time. Whether you are a beginner, looking to start your own home batches or a more experienced distiller who needs a bigger sized model to achieve greater results, this is the still for you. The copper pot is constructed in the traditional form of using rivets to join the unions of the alembic together. Some people prefer this type of construction to the soldered alembic.
